Kansas wins inaugural New York Harbor Cup
Kansas claimed victory at the inaugural New York Harbor Cup held at the Bayonne Golf Club. The Jayhawks finished with a dominant performance, securing the championship ahead of the runner-up Purdue men’s golf team.
Purdue finished the 54-hole tournament with a total of 23-under par 829, just two shots behind Kansas. Individual standout Jenson Forrester earned medalist honors, recording his first collegiate win with a 54-hole score of 12-under par 201. Forrester’s performance included a career-best second-round score of 64.
Other notable performances included Purdue’s Micah Sheffer, who tied for sixth place, and Rutgers University, which finished tied for sixth after a second-round drop in scoring. Little Rock and Michigan State shared third place, both finishing 12 shots behind the leaders.
