Kantor Villa to open for tours in Jablonec nad Nisou

As part of the European Heritage Days, the Kantor Villa in Jablonec nad Nisou will be opened to the public for guided tours. The functionalist villa, designed in 1934 by Heinrich Kulka, is considered one of the most valuable buildings of its style in the region.

The municipality plans to begin a major reconstruction of the property this autumn to preserve its original architecture and historical elements. The project, which includes restoring the building, garden, and interior, is estimated to cost approximately 65 million CZK excluding VAT. The city has secured 45 million CZK in funding from EU and Liberec Region sources. The villa will eventually serve as a visitor center featuring an exhibition and preserved original furniture.
