Kanye West settles lawsuit with former assistant Lauren Pisciotta

Kanye West (legal name Ye) and former personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta reached an unconditional settlement on July 23, 2024 in Los Angeles Superior Court. Both parties will file a request to dismiss the case within 45 days, and the settlement terms remain confidential. Pisciotta had filed the lawsuit in June 2024, alleging sexual harassment, sexual assault, drugging, wrongful termination and other misconduct, including a claim that West drugged her during a studio session co‑hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs. The complaint also named West’s companies Yeezy LLC, Yeezy Apparel LLC and Yeezy Footwear LLC as defendants. West has consistently denied all allegations and the settlement includes no admission of liability. The agreement ends a legal battle that began when Pisciotta started working for West in July 2021, was reportedly offered $1 million a year and later promoted, before being terminated. With the dismissal filing, the case will be closed and cannot be re‑filed.
