Kaohsiung Administration Bureau holds auction of seized luxury goods

The Kaohsiung Branch of the Administration Bureau is hosting a special auction on November 11 to liquidate assets seized from fraud syndicates. The auction features 42 luxury handbags and three pieces of high-end jewelry, with a total estimated market value exceeding 10 million TWD.

Items include various models from Hermès, such as Birkin, Kelly, and Constance bags, as well as 20 Chanel items including the classic CF25 and Mini CF. Other brands represented are Dior and Celine, alongside jewelry such as a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace. The Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office has commissioned professional authentication to ensure all items are genuine.

Proceeds from the sale will be deposited into the national treasury and subsequently returned to the victims of the fraud cases to facilitate compensation. To maintain order, luxury item bidding numbers are limited to 200 participants, which must be collected on-site with identification.
