Kaohsiung Councilor Jiang Ruihong Leads Disaster Relief Charity
Following a series of wind and rain disasters that left many low‑income families in Kaohsiung's Renwu district without essential supplies, city councilor Jiang Ruihong coordinated a charitable response. He partnered with the local Huangfeng Temple, whose leaders—including chair Li Ming‑hui—mobilised volunteers to collect and prepare 400 aid boxes containing rice, cooking oil, soy sauce, noodles, canned goods and dry food.
On August 2, the boxes were distributed at Jiang’s service office to roughly 420 eligible households, providing immediate relief to those most affected by the recent storms. The collaboration highlighted the role of community institutions in delivering targeted assistance and fostering social solidarity during disaster recovery.
