Kaohsiung Fruit Festival Supports Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

On August 1, 2026, the Japan‑Taiwan "Kaohsiung Fruit Festival" was held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The event featured a dedicated corner where visitors could write messages of support for Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, after the recent earthquake that struck the region.

The festival showcased fruit booths from across Japan, including a popular booth from Akita Prefecture that attracted many attendees. Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi‑mai visited the support corner and took part in the solidarity activities.
