Kaohsiung man arrested for brandishing knife at female village chief after littering fine

A 50‑year‑old man in Kaohsiung was fined for littering after a passerby recorded him discarding trash. Believing the penalty was reported by a local village chief, he confronted the chief, a woman named Cai, on a street near Renyi and Huatai. The man drew a short knife from his scooter’s storage box and waved it threateningly, causing the chief to call the police.
