Kaohsiung man targeted in two violent attacks within five days
A 41-year-old man in the Qiaotou District of Kaohsiung has been targeted in two separate violent attacks within a single week.
The first incident occurred on October 3, when a 26-year-old man, surnamed Su, allegedly followed the victim after a traffic accident. Surveillance footage suggests Su was waiting outside the victim's factory before initiating a pursuit. During the confrontation, Su reportedly attacked the victim with a knife, causing injuries to his arm and forehead. Following the incident, the victim was referred to the Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office on charges of attempted murder and intimidation. However, the court ordered the suspect to be released under house arrest rather than being detained.
On October 7, the victim was ambushed again in front of his home by a group of three to four men. The attackers reportedly used knives and pepper spray, and one assailant allegedly shouted that someone had “paid for your life.” The victim sustained further injuries during the assault. The Hunei Police Division is currently reviewing surveillance footage and tracking vehicle license plates to identify the suspects and determine if the second attack is linked to the initial traffic dispute or involves other criminal elements.
