Kaohsiung police arrest man for drug possession and impaired driving

A 48-year-old man was arrested in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, after attempting to hide or discard drugs during a police inspection. Officers patrolling the Qianzhen District noticed the individual acting suspiciously while riding a micro-electric two-wheeler with an improperly fastened helmet.

Upon investigation, police seized two bags of heroin and five bags of methamphetamine. The suspect admitted to using drugs earlier that day, and subsequent saliva tests returned positive results. The individual faces charges for violating the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act and the Criminal Code regarding public danger, in addition to traffic violations.
