Kaohsiung police patrol car crashes into roadside fence

A police patrol car crashed in Kaohsiung late on the night of August 9. Officers from the Zhongzhuang Police Station were returning to the station after assisting a citizen with medical transport when the vehicle veered off the road at the intersection of Shennong Road and Shuiguan Road in the Niaosong District.

The vehicle struck a roadside fence and ended up in a nearby garden. The officer in the passenger seat sustained minor abrasions to their hands and feet, but no other civilians were injured. Alcohol testing for the driver returned a result of 0 mg/L, ruling out drunk driving. The Linyuan Police Precinct has initiated care mechanisms for the injured officer and is investigating the exact cause of the loss of control.
