Kaohsiung promotes digital nomad friendly certification for businesses
The Kaohsiung City Government Youth Bureau is collaborating with the National Development Council’s ‘Nomad Taiwan Office’ to promote a ‘Digital Nomad Friendly Certification’ program. The initiative aims to build a comprehensive remote work ecosystem by encouraging local accommodation, shared workspace, and catering businesses to apply for the certification.
During an information session held at the Pinway Pier-2 Warehouse 8, officials discussed how the program will systematically inventory spatial information across the city. The goal is to attract international digital nomads and remote workers while supporting local freelancers and startup teams. By connecting central government resources with local businesses, the city hopes to enhance its international competitiveness and foster youth entrepreneurship through high-quality shared workspaces.
