Kaohsiung traffic dispute leads to pepper spray attack and criminal charges

A traffic dispute in Kaohsiung escalated into a criminal matter after a delivery driver used pepper spray against a car driver. The incident occurred near Dingzhong Road when a disagreement arose over right-of-way during a vehicle turn.

The delivery driver, identified as Mr. Liao, claimed he was verbally abused by the car driver, Mr. Shen, prompting him to spray pepper spray at him. Mr. Shen required medical attention for eye irritation. Both parties have filed charges against each other, including assault, intimidation, and defamation. The case has been referred to the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office for investigation.
