Kaolack prepares for Maouloud celebrations in Médinatoul Diélany

Preparations are underway in the religious city of Médinatoul Diélany, located in Kaolack, for the upcoming Maouloud celebrations marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. To prepare for the influx of pilgrims, a community cleaning day was organized to improve the city's sanitation and aesthetics.

During these preparations, Cheikh Ibrahima Samba Diallo emphasized the importance of spiritual discipline, urging followers to maintain respectful behavior, civility, and adherence to Islamic values throughout the festivities.

The region, particularly the Médina Baye area, serves as a major spiritual hub for the Fayda Tijaniyya movement. Founded in the late 1920s or early 1930s by Cheikh Al Islam El Hadji Ibrahima Niass (Baye Niass), the community has grown from a local religious center into an influential spiritual site that attracts followers from across borders, including Nigeria.
