Kaolack youth initiative provides sports kits to local associations
Serigne Samba Tall, through the Sen Diaspo Sen movement, has launched a community initiative titled ‘Une ASC, un Jeu de Maillot’ (One ASC, One Set of Jerseys) across the 14 communes of the Kaolack department in Senegal.
The program aims to provide complete sports kits to all local Sports and Cultural Associations (ASC) participating in the Navétanes movement. Beyond providing equipment, the initiative is designed as a strategy for social integration and youth mobilization, using sports as a tool to combat unemployment and lack of opportunity.
Tall, who has personal experience within the Navétanes movement, stated his intention to continue the project until every ASC in the department has received its equipment. The initiative draws inspiration from the socio-economic impact of athletes like Sadio Mané, aiming to use sports as a catalyst for local economic development and civic education.
