Kaori Mizumori performs at Osaka and Nagoya festivals

Enka singer Kaori Mizumori has made recent appearances at major regional festivals in Osaka and Nagoya, expressing her ambition to perform at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen for a 24th time this year.

During the Osaka City Chuo Ward Citizens Festival at the Namba Palace historical site, Mizumori performed a duet with comedian All Kyojin. The collaboration follows the release of their “Yumeshima Blues Duet Version.” Mizumori, who serves as a PR ambassador for Chuo Ward, expressed her determination to work hard toward the year-end music program.

At the 72nd Nagoya Festival in Aichi Prefecture, Mizumori was appointed as the Nagoya Tourism and Culture Exchange Special Ambassador. She performed her 36th single, “Koi no Owari no Nagoya ni Hitori,” a song themed around the Nagoya region. She noted that Nagoya holds personal significance as the “lucky spot” where she first received news of her debut at the Kohaku Uta Gassen in 2003.
