Kaoru Mitoma focuses on injury recovery amid Brighton future speculation

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Kaoru Mitoma is currently working toward a return to action following a left hamstring injury sustained in May. Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler emphasized the importance of allowing the Japanese attacker sufficient time to regain full physical confidence and trust in his body before reintegrating him into competitive play.

While Mitoma's contract runs until June 2027, reports have surfaced regarding his future at the club. Some media outlets have suggested potential reluctance regarding a contract extension and possible interest from other clubs, including Bayern Munich, though Mitoma remains focused on his recovery.

Despite his current injury status, local journalists have included Mitoma in an ‘ideal starting eleven’ for Brighton, suggesting that if he returns to full fitness, he would be the preferred choice for the left wing in major matches, even over high-performing teammates like Maxim De Keiper.
