Kaoru Mitoma recovery update from Brighton manager

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler has provided an update on the recovery timeline for Japanese forward Kaoru Mitoma. Mitoma has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury in May, which caused him to miss the North and Central America World Cup.

During a press conference on October 16, Hürzeler expressed hope that Mitoma will be able to return to action by the November international break. However, the manager noted that the club needs to be “a little more patient” regarding the player's full recovery.

Mitoma's return is being closely monitored by fans and the Japanese national team, particularly with the AFC Asian Cup scheduled for January 2027 in mind.
