KAP National Implementing Agency updates qualification rules for young farmers

The KAP National Implementing Agency has released a new announcement regarding acceptable professional qualifications for young agricultural producers. This update, issued on September 10, provides clarity for individuals whose specific certifications may not be explicitly listed in existing regulations but can be considered equivalent to approved agricultural qualifications.

Based on an agreement with the European Commission, a qualification may be accepted if it is deemed comparable to those listed in the regulation's annex. This decision follows a compatibility examination conducted by the Hungarian State Treasury.

The clarification is particularly relevant for those applying for the 'Support for the Start-up and Investments of Young Agricultural Producers' program, as demonstrating appropriate professional background is a key requirement for receiving these subsidies.
