Kapıçam Nature Park hosts environmental cleanup for World Cleanup Day

In observance of World Cleanup Day, a collaborative environmental cleaning event was held at Kapıçam Nature Park. The initiative involved the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, Let’s Do It Türkiye (Haydi Yapalım Derneği), the Voluntary Youth Movement, Pusula Maraş, the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, and the Regional Directorate of Forestry.

Volunteers gathered in the forested areas of the park to collect litter, including plastic, glass, metal, and other packaging waste. The participants emphasized that the event serves as a global awareness movement to remind citizens of their shared responsibility toward nature. The group called for reducing waste at its source and increasing recycling efforts to ensure natural habitats are preserved for future generations.
