Kapitan Andreevo border crossing reports heavy traffic
Heavy traffic has been reported at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing between Bulgaria and Turkey. According to the Bulgarian Border Police, there is intense movement for passenger cars entering Bulgaria and significant delays for freight vehicles exiting toward Turkey. This congestion has been a recurring trend in recent days.
While traffic remains normal at most other Bulgarian borders, including those with Greece, Romania, North Macedonia, and Serbia, several ferry connections on the Danube River have been suspended. The Silistra–Kichu ferry is out of service due to technical issues, while the Oryahovo–Becket and Svishtov–Zimnice connections are currently halted due to low water levels in the Danube.
