KAPPI and Bank Indonesia promote Indonesian coffee in Japan

The Coffee Development and Education Foundation (KAPPI) is conducting coffee diplomacy to introduce Indonesian coffee varieties to the Japanese market. Supported by Bank Indonesia, KAPPI participated in the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan (SCAJ) 2026 exhibition held at Tokyo Big Sight in mid-October.

During the event, KAPPI showcased curated coffees from farmers supported by Bank Indonesia, including varieties from Aceh Gayo, Mandheling, Java, Bali, and Kalosi Toraja, as well as luwak coffee. The initiative aims to demonstrate the diverse characteristics of Indonesian coffee through aroma and tasting sessions, helping consumers and industry players understand how origin and processing methods influence flavor profiles.
