Kapsch TrafficCom reports revenue growth amid financial restructuring
Kapsch TrafficCom reported a slight increase in revenue for the first quarter of the 2026/27 financial year, reaching EUR 105.2 million, a 4.7% increase compared to the previous year. The company achieved a positive EBIT of EUR 2.3 million, though this represents a significant decrease from the prior year's EUR 21.7 million, which had been bolstered by a one-time EUR 23 million settlement in Germany.
Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a net loss of EUR 1.1 million and faces ongoing financial pressure. Due to missed financial covenants as of March 2026, EUR 110 million in financial liabilities are classified as short-term. Net debt rose to EUR 119 million by the end of June, increasing the gearing ratio from 167% to 179%.
In July, the company reached agreements on key terms for financial restructuring with major partners, including a standstill agreement. Additionally, Kapsch TrafficCom signed an agreement to sell its majority stake in the German subsidiary tolltickets GmbH.
