Kara Region holds workshops to improve land access and security

The Regional Committee for State-Private Sector Consultation (CR-CESP) of the Kara region has launched a series of sensitization workshops and dialogues focused on land access and security. Under the theme ‘Facilitating land access for investors and local producers,’ the initiative aims to bridge the gap between traditional customary practices and national legal regulations.

These sessions involve administrative authorities, traditional leaders, and economic actors across prefectures such as Bassar, Dankpen, and Kozah. The primary objectives are to clarify land access procedures, identify constraints, and define the responsibilities of both customary authorities and state technical services in securing land rights.

Officials emphasized that securing land tenure is essential for modernizing agriculture, promoting industrialization, and creating jobs. By reducing misunderstandings and administrative delays, the program seeks to create a more transparent environment conducive to local and external investment.
