Karabağlar Municipality approves 7 billion TL budget for 2027

The Karabağlar Municipality Council has approved a 7 billion TL budget for the 2027 fiscal year. The budget, which includes 6.5 billion TL in projected revenue and 500 million TL in financing, was passed by a majority vote during the third session of the October regular council meeting.

Mayor Helil Kınay emphasized a commitment to fiscal discipline, noting that the municipality maintains no current tax or social security debts and pays personnel salaries regularly. Kınay stated that the municipality has operated through its own resources and investments, such as purchasing heavy machinery, rather than selling land to fund operations.

The meeting also addressed local economic adjustments, including new waste fee regulations intended to reduce the burden on market traders.
