Karabağlar Municipality employees debut new theater production

Employees of the Karabağlar Municipality in İzmir have debuted a new theatrical production titled ‘Bardakçı Baba’ through the Karabağlar City Theater. The comedy, which explores the impact of shopping malls and chain markets on neighborhood culture, was performed by municipal staff members who also contributed to the production's technical and artistic elements.

The premiere took place at the Yıldız Kenter Culture and Art Center and was attended by Karabağlar Mayor Helil Kınay. The play was written by Yunus Emre Gümüş and directed by Onur Çatal. Kınay praised the professionalism of the staff, noting that the project exceeded expectations and represented a realization of a long-held dream for the municipality.

A second performance is scheduled to take place in September at the Muzaffer İzgü Conference Hall.
