Karabatić and Meštrović win bronze at Taekwondo Grand Prix

Croatian taekwondo athletes Nika Karabatić and Dora Meštrović secured bronze medals during the second day of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Muju, South Korea.

Competing in the under 57 kg category, Karabatić earned her medal after victories against opponents from Tunisia, China, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her run to the final was halted in the semifinals by South Korea’s Yu-jin Kim.

Dora Meštrović claimed bronze in the under 67 kg category. After defeating competitors from Chile and Ecuador, she secured her medal with a quarterfinal win over Jordan’s Razan Mohammed Alrawashdeh before falling to Spain’s Lena Moreno in the semifinals.

In other results, Oscar Kovačić finished in fifth place in the under 80 kg category, and Doris Pole advanced through the rounds in the 67 kg category with wins over South Korean and Brazilian opponents.
