Karabük Chamber of Commerce election tensions spark calls for political neutrality

Cenk Gedikoğlu, the MHP Karabük Provincial Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Karabük Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KTSO), has called for political neutrality in upcoming chamber elections. Gedikoğlu addressed ongoing tensions in the city, claiming that some businesspeople have reported experiencing pressure and threats during the election process.

Gedikoğlu stated that politics should remain separate from chamber elections to prevent chaos. He noted that while there was initially a consensus regarding the continuation of current KTSO President Fatih Çapraz, the process shifted following changes in candidate decisions. To maintain local stability, Gedikoğlu met with AK Party Karabük Provincial Chairman Ferhat Salt and MP Ali Keskinkılıç to discuss the situation within the People's Alliance.
