Karabük intercity bus terminal officially reopened after renovation

The Karabük Municipality has officially opened the renovated intercity bus terminal following extensive modernization works. The project was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

Mayor Özkan Çetinkaya stated that the renovation focused on sustainability and structural integrity, ensuring the building is earthquake-resistant. The upgrades include 3,213 square meters of indoor space and 606 square meters of terrace area. Key improvements involve the exterior facade, load-bearing columns, heating and cooling systems, and infrastructure.

The facility now features 13 renovated ticket offices for both intercity and local travel, a 55-vehicle indoor parking lot, and various amenities such as baby care rooms, prayer rooms, and hygiene facilities. Local officials noted that the terminal serves as a vital gateway for the approximately one million tourists who visit the region annually, including visitors to Safranbolu, Eskipazar, and Yenice.
