Karabük University academic journals gain DOI access
All 19 academic journals published by Karabük University (KBÜ) have now secured Digital Object Identifier (DOI) services. This initiative, led by the university’s Department of Library and Documentation, aims to strengthen the institution's scientific publishing infrastructure and increase the global visibility of its academic works.
Through coordination with the international DOI registration organization Crossref, the university completed the registration process for 12 journals. The remaining seven journals already utilized DOI services through other platforms: six operate via the DergiPark infrastructure, while the journal JESTECH uses its own specialized system.
The implementation of DOI technology provides permanent identifiers for scientific articles and academic content online, facilitating easier global recognition, citation, and tracking. The university's journal portfolio spans diverse disciplines, including engineering, health sciences, social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, communication, and literature.
