Multiple international academic and defense cooperation agreements have been signed between Turkey and several partner nations.

In Azerbaijan, Turkey and Azerbaijan signed contracts exceeding $500 million at the ADEX 2026 defense fair. These include the supply of 14 HÜRKUŞ-II aircraft by TUSAŞ, smart munitions from BAYKAR, and radar systems from ASELSAN. Additionally, a memorandum was signed between the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Azerbaijani authorities to foster cooperation in defense industry research and human resource training.

In the academic sector, Karabük University and Kazakhstan’s Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University established a five-year protocol for a joint master’s program in engineering. This partnership allows students to follow a common curriculum and earn double diplomas in computer and software engineering.

Other regional educational initiatives include a memorandum of understanding between Azerbaijan University and Pakistan’s Northern University to develop academic and scientific ties, and a cooperation agreement between Atatürk University and Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Manas University to strengthen educational and cultural links.
