Karabük University documentaries reach Antakya Film Festival finals

Two documentaries associated with Karabük University have reached the finals of the 14th Antakya International Film Festival.

One finalist, ‘Gıygaşuk: Safranbolu’nun Köyleri’, is competing in the International Short Documentary category. Directed by Dr. Bedirhan Karakurluk and supported by the Ministry of Interior’s PRODES program, the film documents the cultural, historical, and architectural aspects of 60 villages in the Safranbolu region to create a visual archive of local heritage.

The second finalist, ‘Gün Hep Gece’, has reached the finals in the International Student Short Fiction category. Produced by a team of students, the film explores the difficult living conditions of miners in Zonguldak.
