Karabük University Highlights Project‑Based Education and International Opportunities
Karabük University rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık urged prospective students to join the institution, stressing its project‑focused education model and strong scientific infrastructure. He noted the university ranks 10th in engineering, 30th in social sciences and within the top 30 for health sciences in Turkey.
Kırışık highlighted that students from 104 countries study at Karabük, and that student project participation has risen eleven‑fold over the past four years. The university has achieved notable results in TÜBİTAK and ÜNİDES competitions and collaborates on industry‑oriented projects, including the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure’s Simuray KABİ simulation system for train‑driver training. Ongoing initiatives span artificial intelligence, health, and social‑science research, with active involvement in TEKNOFEST and expanded laboratory facilities. Academic incentive performance has increased by more than 80%, underscoring the university’s emphasis on research and international collaboration.
