Karabük University holds academic meeting on AI and digital transformation

Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık, Rector of Karabük University and Dean of the Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication, held an Academic Board meeting with faculty staff to discuss strategic academic goals.

The meeting focused on increasing academic performance and scientific output to support the university’s objective of becoming a research university. Discussions included the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between different faculties and evaluating the university’s standing in international rankings such as THE, QS, Webometrics, and URAP.

A significant portion of the agenda addressed the impact of digital transformation, social media, and artificial intelligence on communication. Kırışık emphasized the need to develop new communication and perception management models through collective brainstorming and urged academics to produce original, concise, and direct research in the form of articles, papers, and book chapters.
