Karabük University hosts orientation for international students

Karabük University (KBÜ) held a comprehensive orientation program designed to help international students from various countries adapt to university and city life. The event was organized through a collaboration between the KBÜ Student Coordination, the Career Application and Research Center, the International Student Coordination, and the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER).

During the program, held at the July 15 Martyrs Conference Hall, students received information regarding academic, social, administrative, and career support services. Key topics included career planning, communication with university management, documentation of extracurricular activities, Turkish language acquisition, and cultural integration.

Student Coordinator Dr. Ümmet Aydan welcomed the students, stating that the university views them as new members of the city and the university family rather than just students. He also emphasized the importance of learning Turkish as a key to future opportunities. International Student Coordinator Dr. Hasan Terzi and Assistant Student Coordinator Fatma Yıldırım also addressed the students, discussing the support systems available and the role of the Student Senate in resolving issues.
