Karachi and Sindh face rain and thunderstorms from new weather system

A new weather system moving from central India is expected to bring rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds to Karachi and various parts of Sindh. While Karachi has recently faced high humidity and temperatures between 35°C and 37°C, the incoming low-pressure system is forecast to provide some relief by lowering temperatures to approximately 33°C.

In Sindh, intermittent moderate rain is predicted for districts including Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Sujawal, and Tando Muhammad Khan, with some areas potentially experiencing heavy downpours. The weather pattern is expected to expand to Sanghar, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, and Jamshoro between September 14 and 15.

In other regions, rain and strong winds have already been reported in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. In Rawalpindi, authorities are monitoring water levels in the Nullah Lai stormwater channel following recent rainfall.
