Karachi police investigate body recoveries and armed encounters

Police in Karachi have launched investigations following several separate incidents involving recovered bodies and armed confrontations.

In Azizabad, the body of a 70-year-old woman was discovered in her home. Knives found near her bed have led authorities to suspect foul play, and investigators are looking into whether a relative was involved. In other parts of the city, a 60-year-old man's body was recovered from a residence in Akhtar Colony, and an unidentified body was found in the emergency waiting area of Jinnah Hospital.

In separate law enforcement operations, police in the Korangi and South districts reported encounters with armed suspects. In Zaman Town, two suspects were arrested in injured condition following a shootout, with weapons and a stolen motorcycle recovered. In Landhi, one suspect was apprehended after an exchange of fire near Eidgah Ground. Additionally, in District South, police intercepted a suspicious vehicle near Khayaban-e-Ghalib; a suspect was injured and arrested after firing at officers, while two accomplices escaped. The arrested individuals were taken to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
