Karachi police reveal 15 million PKR gold robbery was a staged hoax

Police in Karachi have revealed that a reported robbery of gold worth 15 million PKR in the Defence area was a staged incident. Following an initial report that a citizen had been robbed of gold and a mobile phone, the Sahel Police conducted an investigation using CCTV footage and technical analysis.

The investigation determined that the incident was a result of a family dispute. A woman named Aisha allegedly orchestrated the hoax through her driver, Haider, who was assisted by two other individuals. Police have arrested the driver and another suspect, recovering the vehicle and all items involved. Authorities noted that the actual existence of the 15 million PKR worth of gold is also considered suspicious. While the complainant has stated she does not wish to pursue further legal action, characterizing the event as a family matter, legal proceedings against the arrested suspects continue.
