Karakoçan implements rural infrastructure and solar energy projects

Infrastructure, water, and solar energy projects are underway in the Karakoçan district of Elazığ to improve living standards in rural villages. Under the 2026 work program, the Elazığ Special Provincial Administration is conducting road maintenance and asphalt repairs in Çan, Gümüşakar (Şamani), Karaçan, and Kızılca villages.

In addition to road improvements, significant investments are being made in water infrastructure and renewable energy. Completed projects include a 300-ton water tank and solar panels in Başyurt village, a 75-ton water tank and solar panels in Kızılca village, and the installation of water tanks and solar panels in Hamzalı village. The Karakoçan District Governor's Office and the Elazığ Special Provincial Administration continue to implement these projects to meet the needs of rural residents.
