Karakurt Village ruins resurface at Karakurt Dam

As water levels recede at the Karakurt Dam in the Sarıkamış district of Kars, the remains of the former Karakurt village have resurfaced. Aerial footage shows the ruins of the settlement that was previously submerged.

The exposed structures include a village mosque, a church, and the foundations and walls of numerous houses. While much of the village has fallen into ruin, the sight of the mosque, church, and residential remains provides a visual record of the area's history and former way of life.
