Karan Johar announces Student Of The Year: After Dark web series

Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced a new direction for the ‘Student Of The Year’ franchise with an upcoming web series titled ‘Student Of The Year: After Dark’. Marking the 14th anniversary of the original film, the project shifts from the franchise’s traditional focus on campus glamour and romance toward a darker thriller format involving mystery, violence, and intense competition.

The series marks the digital debut of Shanaya Kapoor, who is reportedly playing a double role. Directed by Reema Maya and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the show is scheduled to stream on JioHotstar starting November 13. A teaser released on social media depicts a tonal shift from a college party to a more grim, gritty atmosphere.
