Karan Johar recalls childhood bullying by Akshaye Khanna

Filmmaker Karan Johar has shared memories of being bullied by actor Akshaye Khanna during their childhood in South Bombay. During an episode of the talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’, Johar recounted how Khanna, a skilled badminton player, would frequently force other children off the court.

Johar stated that the incidents left him feeling “scarred.” While Khanna initially disputed the claims during the broadcast, he later apologized to the director for his past behavior. Although the two grew up as neighbors, Khanna has not starred in a film directed by Johar, though Johar’s Dharma Productions supported Khanna’s 2017 crime thriller ‘Ittefaq’.
