Karate athletes from Turkey and Turkmenistan secure multiple championship medals

In recent karate competitions, athletes from Turkey and Turkmenistan achieved significant medal success.

In Turkey, the Sultangazi Municipality Sports Club secured seven medals at the Kyokushin Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish Karate Federation. Among the winners, Betül Bülbül and Abdülkadir Bozkurt earned gold medals in the U21 category, qualifying them for the national team to compete in Latvia this October. Other medalists included Semih Efe Tinç, Özgenur Kanat, Emirhan Köse, Ezel Taşikinci, and Gizemnur Korkmaz.

In Central Asia, Turkmen athletes earned 21 medals at the Central Asian Karate Championship held in Aktau, Kazakhstan. The delegation secured 4 gold, 7 silver, and 10 bronze medals across various age groups and disciplines, including kata and kumite. The competition featured 421 participants from Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
