Karawang Regency launches fundraising for NTT disaster victims

The Karawang Regency Government has launched a fundraising initiative to support disaster victims in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). During the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebrations, Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh initiated the drive by donating Rp 20 million.

Following the Regent, the Regional Secretary contributed Rp 10 million via QRIS. A circular has been issued requesting all Regional Government Organizations (OPD) to participate in the collection, which is expected to last approximately 10 days. All gathered funds will be distributed through the Karawang National Board of Zakat (Baznas) to ensure coordinated delivery.

Regent Syaepuloh also extended the invitation to local companies and the general public to contribute through Baznas. The local government plans to send representatives to the disaster site to monitor the situation and ensure aid reaches those in need.
