Karayama to launch limited-time spicy garlic chicken and mapo menu

Karayama is launching a limited-time menu item called the ‘Spicy Garlic Fried Chicken Teppan Mapo Set Meal’ starting August 28, 2026. The dish features fried chicken marinated in chili pepper and garlic, served on a hot iron plate alongside mapo tofu and mapo eggplant seasoned with Sichuan peppercorns.

Options include the full set meal for 1,089 yen, which comes with rice and miso soup, and a combination set featuring both the spicy garlic chicken and the standard ‘Karitto Momo’ for 935 yen. The menu will also be available as individual items and takeout bento boxes.
