KARDD to host inaugural aging science and therapeutics symposium
The Korea Aging Research and Drug Development (KARDD) will hold its first symposium, titled ‘Aging Science to Therapeutics: From Aging Science to Innovative Therapeutic Development,’ on December 17 in Seoul. The event will take place at the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association.
The symposium is organized into three specialized sessions: ‘Aging Science,’ ‘Muscle Aging,’ and ‘Aging Therapeutics and Industry.’ Topics will range from non-coding RNA homeostasis and immune aging to muscle stem cell reprogramming and digital twins for skeletal muscle aging. The final session will focus on the industrial application of research, covering obesity, cardiovascular risks, ovarian-based aging treatments, and AI-driven multi-target therapeutics.
Key speakers and participants include representatives from KAIST, Seoul National University, Korea University, and various biotech firms such as Hanmi Pharm, BioFDNC, and ReversAge Labs. The event aims to foster collaboration between researchers, clinicians, biotech companies, and venture capitalists to strengthen the bio-new drug development ecosystem.
