Karditsa: 51-year-old truck driver found dead in vehicle

A 51-year-old truck driver from the Domokos area was found dead inside his vehicle on Saturday morning, October 10, in the Kappadokiko area of Karditsa, Greece.

The man had been working through the previous night loading cotton. Although he had reportedly expressed feeling unwell during his work, he continued his duties and drove to a local weighbridge to weigh his load. He subsequently parked his truck on the roadside, likely intending to rest and recover from his malaise.

Passersby discovered the unconscious man the following morning and alerted emergency services. Despite the arrival of an ambulance, he was pronounced dead at the scene. While preliminary assessments suggest a pathological cause, an autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact circumstances of his sudden death. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
