Kareem Grimes reflects on eight seasons of ‘All American’
Actor Kareem Grimes recently discussed his eight-season run on the CW drama ‘All American’ during an appearance on the entertainment series ‘The Black Watch’. Grimes revealed that he initially expected to appear in only one or two episodes, but was retained for the duration of the series due to support from showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll and writer Jamie Turner.
Grimes noted that his character, Preach, serves as a tribute to real-life mentors who helped him avoid gang life during his upbringing in Inglewood. The actor attributed his long-standing career in Hollywood to a professional philosophy of treating acting as a marathon and prioritizing respect from peers over fame.
