Karel appoints Caner Buğday as Head of Defense Technologies

Karel, a critical electronics and communications subsystem supplier for major defense contractors such as ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, and TUSAŞ, has appointed Caner Buğday as the Head of Defense Technologies Group.

Buğday stated that the company aims to transition from a product-oriented structure to a system integrator role over the next three to five years. Karel intends to leverage its 40 years of R&D and manufacturing experience to develop holistic systems and subsystems for land, air, and sea platforms.

The company is also focusing on expanding its geographic reach and product portfolio, with active business development processes currently underway in markets including Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Bangladesh.
