Karela United secured their first victory of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season by defeating Bechem United 3-1 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Bechem United took an early lead in the 22nd minute through a strike by Kelvin Appiah. However, Karela United responded before halftime when Mohammed Zaidan scored to equalize. In the second half, Wisdom Jonas put the hosts ahead following a cross, and substitute Joseph Bekoe sealed the comeback with a free-kick finish late in the match.

The win follows a difficult start for Karela United, who lost their opening match 3-1 to FC Samartex. For Bechem United, the result follows a 1-0 victory against Bibiani GoldStars in their season opener.
