Karen Feagins appointed CEO of Jacksonville's WJCT Public Media

Karen Feagins, who began her career at WJCT Public Media in 2005 and rose to chief operating officer before leaving for a senior role at PNC Bank, has been selected as the organization’s new President and CEO. She will assume the position on August 31 after a national search, bringing experience from both public‑media and private‑sector leadership.

Board of Trustees Chair Bill Hendrich praised her deep community ties, while interim President Geri Cirillo will return to her prior role as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Feagins said she aims to build on WJCT’s momentum and expand the value of public media for the Jacksonville area.
